MDV1 Immanuel

Hoekman Shipbuilding was building the MDV1 'Immanuel' on behalf of the Masterplan Sustainable Fisheries foundation.

This revolutionary fishing vessel is built in such a way that as little fuel as possible is consumed during the fishing trips. To realize this, the complete hull has been newly developed so the water resistance is reduced to a minimum. Furthermore, the ship is electrically powered and pulse fishing is used. All systems on board are designed to consume as little energy as possible, for example the water is heated with the heat from the generator sets.
The power management system controls the rounds per minute of the generator according to the power needs of that time so no fuel goes to waste.
